just a rough study portrait using mediums other than charcoal.. i used b&w dermatograph pencils on a smooth black art paper..
dermatograph pencils are hard to manipulate, they're as stubborn as school kids' crayons, much especially if you use it on smooth paper.. it's a challenge though, and the result? it lacks a little depth and dimension but i like the blotchy effects nonetheless.. i spent 30-45 minutes doing this.. i used a random picture clipped off a magazine as a reference, although im not sure who the model is..
